High-Quality Injection Molding

Forming a mold to replicate an object is called mold making. This applies to daily objects, industrial components, prototypes, and creative sculptures. Different materials can be used to create appropriate high-quality molding for a certain casting and final product.

How Does Plastic Injection Molding Work?

Below are some of the key steps included in the process of plastic injection molding:

Preparation

  • The raw plastic material is dried and combined with any required colorants or additives prior to the injection process starting.
  • It guarantees the quality and consistency of the material during the molding process.

Clamping

  • The clamping unit shuts the mold firmly.
  • The mold has two parts: a stationary half and a moveable half.

Injecting

  • High pressure is used to introduce molten plastic into the mold cavity.
  • Injection speed and pressure are meticulously regulated.

Cooling

  • Inside the mold, the plastic cools and solidifies from molten.
  • The material and part geometry affect cooling time.

Ejection

  • After the mold opens, the part is released.
  • Part removal from the mold is aided by ejector pins.

Post-Processing

Parts may go through extra steps like assembling, painting, or trimming.
